Podiatry Services
Podiatry is a specialism of the foot and ankle. Musculoskeletal (MSK) Podiatry focuses on the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle pain, specifically related to Orthopaedic conditions.
Podiatrists are independent clinicians, with a BSc(Hons) Degree in Podiatry, accepting direct referrals from other clinicians as well as self-referrals, but also working closely with the Consultants, Physiotherapists and other specialists in the hospital to provide comprehensive MDT foot and ankle care.
MSK Podiatry also involves the functioning of the lower limbs, pelvis and spine as a whole during gait and, so, emphasis is placed on specialised assessment and diagnosis combined with extensive experience and high-quality treatments and orthoses devices in order to achieve the best results.
